Amy Smart, an American model and actress from the United States. Growing up and being raised in California USA she started her modeling career in Italy. The first time she acted was in the TV production Her Costly Affair. It took some time to be a part of Starship Troopers in a smaller character. The transition was difficult for Amy as she had transition from modelling to performing. Models aren't thought of as great actors so they tend to play smaller, less important roles. However, Amy was determined to keep going and began to take on bigger roles eventually starting with the series The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. Amy then stepped into lead roles in the 2005 romantic comedy film Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. The film was a major box office success and Amy was finally able to get the recognition that she was seeking for more than 10 years. Amy was later a star in major film projects like the Crank Series alongside Jason Statham, and Shameless.
