JessicaJessica Michelle Chastain was born on March 24 1977. She is an American actress, producer, and model. She is well-known for her performances in films with female-centric themes. She has been the recipient of numerous awards such as an Academy Award, and a Golden Globe Award. Time magazine named her one of the top 100 people around the globe in 2012. Chastain started acting at an early age. In 1998, she made her professional debut on stage in the role of Shakespeare's Juliet. After studying acting at the Juilliard School, she was hired to a talent holding contract with the TV producer John Wells. She was frequent guest on several television series and played roles in numerous stage productions. Chastain made her film debut in Jolene (2008) aged 31. The actress went on to make six films in the year 2011, including The Tree of Life (2011) and Take Shelter (2011). Chastain was also nominated for Academy Award nominations as a role in The Help (2011), where she played an aspiring socialite. She also appeared in Zero Dark Thirty (2012) as an analyst for the CIA analyst. The science-fiction films Interstellar (2014), The Martian (2015) and It Chapter Two (2018) had more success commercially. Chastain received further acclaim for her performance as strong-willed females in the dramas A Very violent Year (2014), Miss Sloane (2016) and Molly's Game (2017), and the television miniseries Scenes from a Marriage (2021). She later played Tammy Faye Bakker in the biopic The Eyes of Tammy Faye (2021) and won the Academy Award for Best Actress and Tammy Wynette in the miniseries George & Tammy (2022). Chastain established Freckle Films to promote diversity in film production. She is also an investor in Angel City FC. She has a strong voice on race and gender equality. Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo (fashion executive) is her husband.
